“Well, I landed at a shoppin’ center, in an unknown state
Unknown kind of architecture, atmospheric trait
Unknown brand and labels, unknown market chains
The strangest collection of buildings here
Upon the fruited plain”

-The Modern Lovers, “Rockin’ Shopping Center”

I was scrolling through my Facebook feed recently, as I do every single day of my cyber life, and I saw several posts from members of our lit community who were going through rough financial times. I saw requests from artists and tarot readers to please buy products and book services from them so that they could make the rent/pay bills/do whatever it is humans must do in order to survive under capitalism.

As I sat in front of my radiant blue screen, I thought about how cool it would be to have a central location for crafty, entrepreneurial poets and writers to display their wares and services. This way, when birthdays and holidays arise, instead of heading to the local mall or buying yet another gadget or thingamabob from Amazon, we can support our friends and colleagues, get some cool handmade stuff for our loved ones, and help artists pay their bills.

If you would like to be included in the Rockin’ Lit Shop, please send an email to ohareisobel@gmail.com with the following information and I’ll add you as soon as I can:
